About the College

Mohan Babu University (MBU), a State Private University in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, is promoted by the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust under Dr. M. Mohan Babu, a former Rajya Sabha member, producer, cine artist, and philanthropist. The university offers diverse programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Liberal Arts, Sciences, Agriculture, Education, Journalism, Management, Performing Arts, Paramedical, and Health Sciences.

The School of Computing is a leader in real-world computing breakthroughs that drive social and scientific progress. With our unconventional approach to education along with cutting-edge, cross-disciplinary research, we are expanding the boundaries of computing. The School of Computing is a stimulating environment for research, particularly in the areas of localization, data analytics, software engineering, scientific computing and cloud computing. Our vision is to lead the advancement of computer science research and education that has real-world impact and to push the frontiers of innovation in the field.The school now offers 05 B.Tech., 03 M.Tech., 01 MCA, and 02 Research Programs.

The Department of CSE offers a four-year professional B.Tech. program in Computer Science and Engineering. The program emphasizes acquiring knowledge and contemporary skills on computing systems and developing software through experiential learning relevant to the latest domains in Computer Science and Engineering. The program focuses on a student-centric learning approach through classroom study, industry-based internships, and project-work in core and advanced courses. The courses offered in the program include the core subjects of Computer Science and specialized courses like Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Intelligent Systems, Pattern Recognition, Machine Leaning, Deep Learning, CognitiveSystems, Robotics and Automation, Business Intelligence, and other courses in cutting-edge technologies

Tirupati

Climate

Tirupati, located in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India, has a tropical wet and dry climate, characterized by hot summers, moderate rainfall, and mild winters. The town experiences heavy rainfall during the monsoon season from June to September, which supports its agricultural activities and green landscapes.

People

Tirupati is home to a vibrant and diverse population, reflecting the cultural richness of Andhra Pradesh. The people are known for their warmth, hospitality, and religious devotion. The town is a major pilgrimage center, particularly famous for the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple. Many of the locals are engaged in agriculture, trade, and tourism-related businesses. Festivals like Brahmotsavam, Pongal, and Diwali are celebrated with great enthusiasm, fostering a strong sense of community.

Language

Telugu is the primary language spoken in Tirupati, in line with the linguistic culture of Andhra Pradesh. Due to its significance as a tourist and educational hub, English is widely understood and spoken, especially among the educated and professional population. Tamil is also commonly spoken by a portion of the residents.

Transportation

Tirupati is well-connected by rail, road, and air. Tirupati Railway Station is a major railhead, with multiple connections to cities across India. Tirupati Airport, approximately 15 kilometers from the city center, offers domestic flights to major cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. The town is well-connected by bus to nearby cities, with regular services to Chittoor (67.3 km), Kadapa (152.5 km), and Vellore (126 km).
